Making Headway on the Airwaves!

For the last few weeks, we have been making an effort, along with our facebook friends, to share our music with everyone out in Radioland.  It is not easy to get played on the radio.  In fact, without the backing of a major label, it is extremely difficult.  Star 93.3 in Cincinnati, though, offers to take requests on Friday evenings from 3:00 until 6:00, so we thought we would give them a try.  Our dear friends have made us nearly the most requested band of the last month.  In fact, we have been requested overwhelmingly more than any band that is signed to a major label.  That, in itself, is quite an honor!

This past week, we were able to take a big step in the right direction by meeting with one of the deejays at the Star.  He gave us some great suggestions for meeting their format requirements, and even suggested a couple of other stations that he thought might put us on the air.  He also genuinely seemed to like our music.  It was an encouraging and an insightful visit.  If you are praying for us, please pray that we stay encouraged, and that God blesses our effort.   Thanks!

Silvergrove Concert and Upcoming Event

-->
We had such a wonderful time on our first visit to Silvergrove, we were really looking forward to going back. We were not disappointed! This time, we were asked to provide the music for a night of food and fun. We got there early to set up and check the sound, and we already had an audience. A little boy was “hiding” under the first pew, watching us plug in mics and arrange equipment. He looked like he was dreaming about ice cream and cotton candy! I think he must be a future technical guy!
We finished just in time to join our new friends for a potluck dinner. Everything was delicious, and our new little friend kept us company at the table. Eric’s family was also there. They drove over an hour to come see us play!
The concert itself went well, and the people of Silvergrove prayed for us before we ended the evening. Even their worship leader was there, who had just been released from an emergency trip to the hospital the night before! We went there praying that we would be a blessing to them, and ended up leaving feeling truly blessed ourselves.
Our next appearance will be at another special church, the First United Methodist Church in Springboro, on Sunday, October 14th. We always look forward to visiting the FUMC, and getting to be a part of their service. We’ll just be sharing a couple of songs, but if you’re looking for some encouragement on the 14th, the people there will make you feel right at home. Their services are at 9:15 and 10:35. Hope to see you there!
